JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: We are seeking a motivated undergraduate researcher to aid in USDA-funded research on plant-insect interactions. This is a paid position starting as soon as possible for spring 2025 through summer 2025, and will be housed in the labs of Tanya Renner and John Tooker (Department of Entomology). This position is expected to be up to 10 hours/week during the school year, with potential for up to 40 hours/week during the summer. This project will study how plant-feeding insects influence gene expression in Brassica oleracea(broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, etc). Research methods will include:
Prior laboratory experience (via coursework or research) is strongly preferred, and the qualified applicant would be comfortable working independently.
