What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Technical Business Development Specialist to support the Technology and Economic Development Department.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

• Manage proposal development efforts and processes

• Support technology transfer initiatives

• Perform market research and analysis

• Identify and evaluate opportunities for external engagement, develop technical value propositions, and support execution of strategic programs

  Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite, and have the ability to travel up to 25% .

Salary Range:

$99,400 - $193,600

*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.

Qualifications We Require:

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years relevant experience

• Experience with marketing, business planning and business development

• Experience with proposal management

• Ability to obtain DOE L Security Clearance

About Our Team:

Technology and Economic Development Department 1933 leverages the technologies, facilities, and people at Sandia National Laboratories in order to create technology-based economic development in New Mexico; programs include the Sandia Science & Technology Park, New Mexico Small Business Assistance, the Technology Readiness Initiative, and the Center for Collaboration and Commercialization. The office is located in the Innovation Parkway Office Center (IPOC) in the Sandia Science & Technology Park.

If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.

If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.

Position Information:

This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years.

Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
