Description

TRISTAR is seeking a DevOps Engineer for our government customer in Bloomington, IN

  • As a DevOps Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technologies to build, maintain, and enhance pipelines and containers using Kubernetes while supporting model-based engineering
  • Play a key role in performing testing, maintaining infrastructure, and supporting the development lifecycle

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and containerized environments for various applications
  • Support model-based engineering projects by providing infrastructure solutions and automation tools
  • Work within the RDT&E network to ensure secure and effective software development and testing
  • Perform thorough testing of environments to ensure stability and performance
  • Collaborate with development and engineering teams to resolve issues and improve system performance
  • Use Jira for ticketing, issue tracking, and project management to ensure smooth and organized workflows
  • Maintain and monitor infrastructure supporting software development, ensuring security, scalability, and performance
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Kubernetes and container orchestration
  • Expertise in model-based engineering workflows and methodologies
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines for software development
  • Strong experience working within RDT&E environments or similar
  • Proficient in using Jira for project and issue management
  • Knowledge of infrastructure management, system monitoring, and performance testing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards addressing technical challenges
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate in cross-functional teams
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Must have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security Plus certification prior to start date
