Overview

Global Financing and Credit Trading (GFCT) is a key business of the Deutsche Bank Investment Bank. We are a leading market maker of Credit products on major Dealer to Client platforms and Credit technology plays a vital part in this role. We (Credit Technology) are a global team with engineers in US, UK, Germany, and India. As the technology lead, you will be based in Cary and be part of our core Credit Flow pre-trade engineering team.

What You'll Do

  • Working as part of a global technology team and Business stakeholders on design of new features

  • Hands on development

  • Ensure that solutions are in line with department and domain architecture strategies and contribute to defining and improving those strategies

  • Helping to build, maintain and continually implement tests for an automated testing framework that includes unit testing and integration tests across components

  • Work collaboratively - sharing knowledge and helping mentor teammates in your areas of expertise

  • Participate in L3 Production Support, investigate and fix production issues

How You'll Lead

  • Experience driving technical deliveries across teams and mentoring and/or managing junior developers

  • Engage with business, product stakeholders and external clients effectively

  • Interact with global team leads and collaborate

Skills You'll Need

  • Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Junit, Oracle/ Structured Query Language (SQL)/ PL SQL, Linux, Shell Script, JMS, Message Queue (MQ)

  • Jira, Confluence, Git, Maven, Teamcity/Jenkins, Artifactory

  • Experience working in an Agile environment and designing scalable solutions across technologies

  • Understanding of running a development team

  • Strong analytical and design skills with existing financial knowledge

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or OpenShift or any public cloud experience

  • Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills

  • Quality focus - experience in test frameworks, test planning and execution in distributed systems

  • Willingness to work full stack (including front or back end if required)

  • Experience of work in financial industry technology and understanding of Investment Banking financial products and associated trading workflows/platforms

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $125,000 to $203,000.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
