The School of Continuing Education (SCE) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) seeks applications for a Continuing Education Program Manager.
The School of Continuing Education is the largest provider of professional development in Southeastern Wisconsin providing year-round lifelong learning through varied venues – in our state-of-the-art classrooms in downtown Milwaukee, onsite at business locations, online and other unique locations.
What You Will Do: This Program Manager is expected to support SCE’s commitment to ‘leading change’ through competency-based programming, promoting local and global collaborations, and introducing innovative programming to remain current with customer needs and changes in the work world.
A primary responsibility for this Program Manager will be to reach out to employers in corporate and non-profit organizations to identify unmet training needs for business and technical roles. In addition, this Program Manager will identify groups of individuals who are likely to be successful candidates for promotions and new jobs in the areas of data analysis, business analysis, digital marketing, SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management), and Excel. Under general supervision and reporting to the Continuing Education Associate Director, the position leads and supervises all aspects of department programming and is expected to perform a wide variety of complex duties exercising good judgment and demonstrating a high level of professionalism and effectiveness in successfully supporting the delivery of face-to-face and online noncredit courses. Communication and working with the business community, professional organizations, instructors, participants, staff and student workers are critical to the success of the programs. Duties and Responsibilities:
This full-time, fixed-term non-teaching academic staff position offers a competitive salary with a hiring range of $53,000 to $58,000. Individual candidates’ experience, education and qualifications will determine the appropriate starting rate at the time of hire.
