Garver is seeking a professional, motivated individual to join our Enterprise Solutions Team. We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analystto create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge.
In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You should be analytical and an excellent communicator with business acumen and problem-solving aptitude.
Ultimately, you will serve our clients by partnering with them to create relevant tools to drive better decisions.
Responsibilities of thisBusiness Intelligence Analystwill include but are not limited to:


  • Design and develop custom business intelligence reports and dashboards based on business requirements and user needs.
  • Ability to work directly with stakeholders as a partner to identify key metrics, KPIs, and data sources for reporting and analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets with subject matter experts to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data models, ETL processes, and data visualization solutions that enable accurate and timely decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain data governance and quality standards to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting and analysis.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on how to use and interpret Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI development and data analytics.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.



The successful candidate will have the ability to work on projects independently and collaboratively with others, a service-minded approach, confidence in decision-making, and proven experience in effective time-management.
Requirements


  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data analysis, or related field, preferably in industry.
  • Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Proficient in making complex queries for data extraction and transformation, preferably in M and DAX.
  • Proficient in developing and customizing visual reports to meet and exceed client's needs.
  • Experience with data modeling, architecture, and storage
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong Excel skills, with knowledge of VBA preferred
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative


Preferred Skills


  • Background in data warehouse design and data mining
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Familiarity with multiple BI platforms (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI)
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
