JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Manager reports directly to the DOO, and is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and administration of the Company's quality
programs, as well as maintaining quality control work processes and systems that support continued certification in ASME "S" and "U" stamps as well as the National Boiler
Inspection Code "R" stamp. The Quality Assurance Manager also provides initiatives to maintain quality awareness at an optimum level consistent with the Company's quality
objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Actively participate in an effective safety program.
Maintain a current knowledge and act as liaison with third party agencies such as ASME, AWS, AISC, etc. with respect to quality issues.
Establish, implement, and maintain ASME/National Board QSM Program.
Identify and evaluate quality risks and develop appropriate mitigation actions.
Develop, administer, and monitor Project Specific Quality Plans incorporating Company quality requirements, all applicable Customer rules and regulations, and review design
documents for quality considerations.

Develop Company and project quality goals, measure and communicate progress toward these goals, initiate quality process improvements, and conduct and document
quality audits and inspections to monitor the effectiveness of the quality plans.
Investigate and analyze root causes and develop recommendations for corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
Evaluate Quality Programs and products of suppliers and subcontractors, participate in project planning and monitor effectiveness, and identify and develop inspection
subcontractor(s) to support the quality efforts.
Participate during the subcontractor selection process and monitor subcontractor quality performance and ensure that all quality related documentation is maintained and
reporting requirements are satisfied in a timely manner.
Develop, qualify, and maintain the Company's Welding and NDT procedures, implement and maintain a Welder Qualification Program, and manage and participate in NDE
Qualification programs as specified.
Develop and administer quality training programs that meet project needs, act as liaison with Customers in respect to all quality issues and provide support and guidance for
the personal and professional development of personnel.
Develop and administer the Company's quality recognition program.
Identify and develop inspection subcontractor(s) to support the quality efforts.
Proficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal), negotiation skills, and computer skills with Microsoft Office Products and corporate
standards.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
College degree or equivalent experience.
NDT Level Ill certified to perform Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant Examinations, and to interpret Radiographic film.
Current SC WI or CWI certification.
15 to 25 year's experience in quality management preferred.
Demonstrated success in managing the quality process on large projects.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Proficient in managing and directing people, communications (both written and verbal).
Negotiation skills.
Computer skills with Microsoft Office Products and corporate standards.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:
Reports directly to the DOO and is responsible for product quality. As such, all managers within the shop and field operations will be reporting to this position in all matters
concerning quality.
Essential contact with all levels of Customer organizations.
