Associates are eligible to apply for a transfer after completion of one (1) year of service in their present position, with the following exception: an Associate who has received a written warning is not eligible for a transfer/promotion prior to six (6) months from date of issuance; an Associate who has been suspended is not eligible for transfer/promotion prior to one (1) year from date of suspension. Probationary period is 60 working days for full-time and part-time employees.

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our esteemed team at Montefiore Medical Center, recognized for its excellence in patient care. Our Physical Therapy department is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to provide top-notch care to patients.

The responsibilities of this position include evaluating patients, assessing equipment, and developing treatment plans and programs. The selected candidate will provide direct patient care, including evaluation and treatment, in accordance with the guidelines of the New York State Physical Therapy Practice Act and Hospital Policy. Additionally, they will provide daily clinical supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Aides/SNA, and students.

***The Physical Therapist must be able to adhere to our department's schedule, which includes working on either Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. ***

Qualifications:

* A graduate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.

* A valid New York State Physical Therapy License.

* Experience in outpatient and acute care bedside services, including:

* MICU, CCU, SICU, CSICU, NICU

* Orthopedics, vascular, neurology, neuroscience, oncology, medicine, cardiothoracic, lung transplant, other transplants, and pediatrics.

* Inpatient experience is mandatory.
