First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Home Care and Hospice is looking for a Home Health Aide to join the Harrisonburg, VA team.

The Home Health Aide performs basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, toileting, meal preparation and feeding, checks vital signs, intake/output, ambulation and assists patient with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home.

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or the equivalent required.

  • Successful completion of an accredited nurse aide program required.

  • CNA license (VA) required.

Job Summary

Home Health Aides and those hired as PCA (Personal Care Aide) will perform basic and routine patient care, such as personal hygiene, toileting, meal preparation, and feeding, checking vital signs, intake/output, ambulation, and assisting patients with transfer from/to bed, toilet and other areas of the home.

Those hired in the PCA role will provide personal care services in the location where the participant lives including a home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or adult home.

High school graduate or the equivalent preferred. Successful completion of an accredited nurse aide program is required.

Accredited Nurse Aide Program required.

The individual is to provide personal care services in the location where the participant lives (to include home, assisted living facility, nursing home, or adult home.

Must be able to provide own transportation.

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, First Aid Basics - Certification - Other/National
