Waste Disposal Operator

This position pays $20.94 per hour!

As the Waste Disposal Operator here's the work you'll do:

* Collects waste in both solid and liquid state from designated locations in accordance with SOPs and EPA guidelines. Loads, transports, and unloads waste. Maintains segregation of waste as specified in procedures.

* Establishes and maintains log/written records of activities related to the handling and disposition of hazardous waste/explosive contamination. Must be able to understand how to complete paperwork and complete it accurately and on time.

* Responsible for the thermal treatment of explosive and contaminated explosive items.

* Maintaining manual and excel logs of daily activity.

* Operates and maintains two water treatment plants.

* Complete daily inspections & other duties as assigned.

This role is for you if you have these skills:

* Ability to work independently with little supervision.

* Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel programs.

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong math skills.

* When an employee is working on a job, he or she may be assigned to perform those duties of another classification which he or she is capable of performing except that the time spent in such activity will not exceed fifty percent (50%) of any workweek. At no time shall an employee be assigned to duties which he or she has neither the knowledge or skill to accomplish or which would compromise his or her personal safety or the safety of others.

* High School or equivalent

* General ammunition/manufacturing work experience.

* Forklift Certification, HAZWOPER Certification
