Western EcoSystems Technology, Inc. (WEST) is looking for a full-time GIS Analyst within its Power Delivery Infrastructure program. Location of the position is flexible depending on the qualified applicant. WEST was founded in 1990 and has grown to be one of the premier environmental and statistical consulting firms in North America. WEST consists of a core of scientific professionals with broad experience in basic and applied ecological studies and the sophisticated analysis of natural resource data. This unique blend of disciplines and our years of experience allow us to provide original solutions to a wide range of natural resource issues from population estimation to damage assessments, estimation of risk, and cutting-edge research. WEST provides consulting services to government, industry and other organizations. This role will be responsible for supporting spatial data collection and management on large-scale transmission line projects. The role will be responsible for leading and directing a team of GIS and data-oriented collaborators through various aspects of electric power system infrastructure project development, including survey and data collection, ongoing data management, reporting, and timely communication with clients and other project staff. They will organize, coordinate, and manage tasks to ensure project staff meet deadlines and maintain accountability within the demanding schedules of linear infrastructure work. The ideal candidate will have experience leading GIS efforts and data management on electric power system infrastructure or other linear infrastructure development (e.g pipelines). They will be fluent with power infrastructure layouts, typical data types, and field data collection interfaces within an enterprise GIS environment.
