Position Title: InternDepartment: Station ServicesCorporate Area: Station ServicesStatus: Temporary, Full time NonExemptManager Title: VP, Fundraising ProgrammingPosition Overview: Fundraising Strategy team oversees fundraising tactics and initiatives that helps ensure PBS Station sustainability. Through immersion with the Fundraising Strategy team, gain unique understanding of PBS and the ways PBS stations fundraise and build donor relations specifically across alternate platforms through Digital Fundraising initiatives and Corporate Support, Major Giving and Philanthropy activities.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Assist with the creation of fundraising and communication assets and resources related to PBS programming and content, specifically on digital interactive experiences * Assist with research data on themes and topics and synthesizing key takeaways * Working both independently and across departments and disciplines to facilitate the development of the training courses including turnkey graphics and one-sheets Skills Intern Will Acquire * Strong writing skills Requirements for success: * Increased knowledge of public media and affiliate communications * Digital fundraising and online engagement principles and tactics * Strengthen knowledge and skills related to individual and corporate philanthropy including research analysis * Develop base level knowledge of media research * Project management * Use of generative AI platforms * Professional development and networking experience Additional Information: Time Commitment: May 27, 2025 - August 15, 2025 Compensation: Undergraduate students receive $15/hour, graduate students receive $17/hour PBS is an Equal Opportunity Employer in accordance with the EEOC and the Commonwealth of Virginia. |
