Position Description

The Sr. Financial Analyst - SEC Reporting will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of external financial reporting, including the preparation of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and the review of earnings releases. This position will also support the maintenance of Modine's internal financial control framework and global finance standard practices. As a highly visible role within the organization, it requires close collaboration with global accounting teams and other departments such as Human Resources, Legal, and Treasury.

This is a hybrid role with an onsite requirement once per week (Tuesdays).

Key Responsibilities

SEC Filings and Earnings Releases:

  • Prepare financial statements and footnotes, coordinating with regional accounting teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial statements.
  • Collaborate with Investor Relations to review earnings releases, earnings slides, and other investor presentations.

Stock-Based Compensation and Bonus Plan Accounting:

  • Manage accounting for stock-based compensation and bonus plans, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with relevant standards.

Audit and Internal Controls:

  • Partner with internal and external auditors on quarterly reviews, internal control testing, and the year-end audit.
  • Own certain global finance standard practices and external reporting controls.
Required Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably including public accounting and/or financial reporting.
  • Superior attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and desire to drive process efficiencies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and Word; SAP/Hyperion knowledge is a plus.
