Human Resource (HR) Consultants are integral to carrying out a variety of functions within a human resources department. The individual in this role may be involved in: recruitment, labor or employee relations, change management, training, compensation, learning and development, payroll administration or any other area of human resources.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Supports the department's goals by: ensuring employee's HR needs are met,compensation and job descriptions are consistent and compliant, supports recruiting and new hire onboarding process, supports performance appraisal processes, works with HR Manager to hone employee relations skills, supports management and employee training initiatives, policy rollout, etc.
  • Supports the department's goals by building and maintaining client relationships to ensure we are successfully helping clients achieve their business strategies.
  • Maintains employee personnel files and HRIS system records in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Supports hiring needs including posting jobs, screening and hiring candidates.
  • Communicates company policies and supports leadership's enforcement of these policies.
  • Knowledge of employment and labor laws.
  • Understands and has done training intiatives.
  • Experience in reviewing background screenings.
  • Entake of employee relation issues/ first level of resolution of Associate Relations issues
  • Working with direction from higher level Human Resource management, may research, employment laws, human resources policies, and communicate the information effectively to the client.
  • Creates and supports employee engagement activities while staying within budget.
  • Supports company Open Enrollment period to ensure smooth processing.
  • Supports Payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of e-verify processing.



SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education & Experience




  • Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


  • Some college experience in human resources, business, or a related field is a plus or 3-year experience working in Human Resource fieldor equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate


Computer Skills



  • Microsoft Office
  • Experience in payroll systems
  • Experience with HRIS systems



Certificates & Licenses



  • Recognized HR Professional Certification a plus


Language Skills



  • Local language required
  • Bilingual is a plus



Mathematical Skills



  • Intermediate
