Position Title: DevOps Engineer Contract/Perm: 12-month contract with potential for extension Location: Chicago, IL (333 S Wabash) - onsite 3 days per week Day to Day As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the tools and processes that support our development and operations teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment pipelines, infrastructure scalability, and efficient monitoring of our systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and GitHub Actions, along with a solid understanding of DevOps principles. Must Have 4-5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.). Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible. Proficiency in GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline creation and management. Solid experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar. Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar). Knowledge of version control systems such as Git. Experience working in Agile or similar iterative development processes. Pluses Experience with cloud-native services and deployment strategies. Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with application deployment automation and infrastructure management tools.
