SENIOR
EXECUTIVE
ASSISTANT (Rutgers Communications and Marketing) for Rutgers University - School of Communication and Information.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Serves as the confidential assistant to the Vice Chancellor for communications and marketing for Rutgers Health and Rutgers - New Brunswick.
- Coordinates high-level meetings and correspondence with chancellors, provosts, various vice presidents, and the presidents' office.
- Manages sensitive communications, ensures meetings and emails are timely and correspondence is accurate.
- Exercises very careful judgment around the content and tone of correspondence for the Vice Chancellor as he/she often deals with very sensitive topics that will directly impact the reputation of the university, have legal implications, and are time sensitive as the Vice Chancellor is a chief advisor for managing crisis communications

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in related field or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge, skill, and understanding of organizing logistics for a high-volume, high-impact organization.
- Five years of professional experience in complex administrative work.

- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with eye-for details.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, and strong computer literacy skills required are also required.
- Ability to conceptualize, develop, and simultaneously manage several projects with varying levels of complexity and tight deadlines.
- Excellent strategic planning skills.
- Proven ability to resolve issues and remove project barriers.
- Experience with preparing and administering project budgets and estimating time and resources for task assignments.
- Experience in guiding and supervising personnel through various phases of projects.
- Must possess a high-level of emotional intelligence and discretion.

- At least five years of professional experience in events and logistical management.
