A Software Engineer job is available with our client in Manassas, VA. In this role you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing software supporting the U.S. Navy's platforms. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor"s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Due to the nature of the work performed in this facility, US Citizenship is required.

***Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time.***

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Knowledge or experience with Navy's Common Weapon Launcher and/or Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator.
*Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
*Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience.
*Ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
*Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
*Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and other.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
*Bachelor"s Degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master"s Degree.
*Experience with Java.
*Experience with C/C++.
*Experience with Linux and Bash.
*Experience with React and Typescript.
