Maintenance I

Job Summary/General Description:

This position is an entry-level position This position oversees the general maintenance on all aspects of the buildings, including furniture, floors, windows, walls and maintenance of all material handling equipment.

Potential Schedule: Sunday - Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm

* Pay rate: $21.00 to $ 26.00 per hour.

ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

A teammate in this position must have the ability to:

Perform basic scheduled maintenance repair of most required MHE equipment. Ensure spare parts usage, inventory and work order actions are accurately tracked and documented according to Company policy.

Assist in other DC maintenance requirements such as, but not limited to:

Plumbing

Building lighting

Dock doors

Racking

Pallet washing

Air spray painting

Maximize availability of all classes of DC batteries by managing: Charging cycles, Battery Rotation, and Inspections.

Other duties may be assigned

MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

A teammate in this position must:

Have 1 year of maintenance experience.

Have working knowledge of electric and manual hand tools.

Possess basic knowledge in plumbing.

Have electrical and heating/AC experience.

Have communication skills.

Be able to work in a team; teamwork.

Be able to achieve results.

Represent McLane's beliefs and values.

Be able to successfully pass a physical capabilities test, drug screen and criminal background check.

Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in office environments as well as warehouse and mechanical rooms and outdoors.

This position may require work in hot and cold temperature extremes and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes noise, potentially harmful

chemicals, solvents and components, and workings in close to proximity to other teammates
