Job Summary Estrella Mountain Community College is recruiting for a Student Services Director for the Outreach and Early College department. This position reports to the Dean of Students. This position will direct the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Outreach and Early College programs, overseeing Achieving a College Education (ACE), Hoop of Learning, Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment, Recruitment, the Embedded Advisor program, and early college high school partnerships (AAEC and Valor Prep). This position will work with a diverse student population within high schools, surrounding communities, district-organized events, college events, and other relevant activities and programs. Essential Functions 50% - Leads a comprehensive Early College strategy to include setting goals and monitoring of metrics in collaboration with key stakeholders, developing and maintaining strong relationships with high school partners, and ensuring needs are being met in the area of recruitment and outreach specific to Early College programs. Acts as liaison with faculty, administrators, staff, and community partners. Integrates Admissions, Records, and Registration protocols into daily outcomes to maintain District, State, and Federal compliance standards. 20% - Develops and maintains effective working relationships with internal personnel including EMCC marketing department, academic department chairs, occupational program directors, and student affairs managers and directors to develop a thorough understanding of the college culture, program, and services; collaborates with student services programs and/or community agencies as needed to increase student success at EMCC; may develop, coordinate, and participate in special programs designed to promote student enrollment and retention. Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, reviews and evaluates the work of multiple units including dual and concurrent enrollment, recruitment, all early college programs, and summer programming. Directs the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of district-wide student services programs, initiatives, and related funding. Creates the vision and measurable milestones for the implementation and continuous improvement of said units. Responds to and resolves difficult or complex inquiries, requests, and complaints. Researches, analyzes, reviews, and provides management reporting on program data, results, and industry information. 10% - Directs the creation and communication strategies for prospective and admitted students utilizing customer relations management tools (CRM, Hubspot, etc.) i.e. letters, emails, texts, phone calls, etc. Leads the creation of reports to monitor metrics to gauge the effectiveness and success of recruiting efforts and report to the appropriate college committees and groups. Plans and develops unit strategy, goals, objectives, and long-range plans consistent with programming expectations and best practices. Collaborates with District offices, colleges, divisions, and community organizations on student services programs and initiatives. 10% - Develops long and short-range goals, student learning outcomes, and program reviews to strategically align the department with the overall goals of the college; performs financial functions as it relates to Early College programs; develops and manages the department budget. Develops and manages the department's strategic goals and ensure alignment with the college's strategic goals. Serves as a District representative and liaison with national, regional, state, and local agencies regarding student services programs. Provides program development technical support, operational assistance, and counsel to executive leadership. Utilizes enrollment and retention strategies. 10% - Monitors operational compliance with policies and regulations related to assigned areas. Performs other duties as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business administration, public administration or related field and four (4) years of full-time equivalent related experience that includes two (2) years of management and supervisory experience. OR Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business administration, public administration or related field and six (6) years of full-time equivalent related experience that includes two (2) years of management and supervisory experience. Desired Qualifications A. Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience working in Early College programs. B. Two (2) or more years of experience directly supervising and training full-time and part-time employees in higher education enrollment-service areas C. Two (2) or more years of experience developing and growing concurrent enrollment, dual enrollment, and/or recruitment of applicants to the college D. Two (2) or more years of experience in developing outreach/recruitment programs for diverse populations E. Two (2) or more years of experience working with an online enrollment system such as Student Information System (SIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or other online software F.
