Scope of Work:

As a Sales Assistant, Responsible for supporting sales staff by providing administrative, clerical, and customer support. Follows up with customers, completes orders, and processes sales leads.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

The Sales Assistant is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following:




  • The Sales Assistant will answer phones for the Sales Department.
  • As a Sales Assistant, you will assist walk in customers.
  • The Sales Assistant will type sales quotes.
  • The Sales Assistant will complete rental invoicing.
  • The Sales Assistant will process accounts payable and freight invoices for the Sales Department.
  • As a Sales Assistant, you will assist in processing sales.
  • The Sales Assistant will order and maintain sales literature.
  • The Sales Assistant will receive and distribute mail for the Sales Department.
  • The Sales Assistant will maintain the Sales Department filing system.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a minimum of 2 year(s) previous experience in a similar position
  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus



Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



  • Strong written and oral communication skills.


  • Possess and maintain the following skills: Excellent attention to detail, good problem solving skills, strong organizational skills, collaborating skills, interpersonal skills, and logical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic team environment
  • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
  • Must be able to type at least 50 words per minute (wpm).


Working Conditions and Physical Demands:



  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8m. to 5 p.m.
  • Some occasional extended hours may be required.
  • Sitting; occasional bending or kneeling; lift and carry a maximum 15 Lbs., reach overhead for lightweight items.
  • Office work.
