Job Overview
The Associate Benefits Specialist provides support for the planning, development, implementation, administration, and communication of all Marvin's benefits programs including insurance plans, wellness programs, leaves of absence, and retirement plans.
Highlights of your role
Supports administration of Marvin's benefits and well-being programs to include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, HSA, 401(k), EAP, wellness programs, and COBRA.
- Collaborates with internal teams to understand employee benefit needs and objectives.
- Works with third party benefit providers on the implementation, communication, and administration of benefits and wellness programs.
- Collaborates with HR teams, HRIS, Payroll, and Finance, to coordinate benefit initiatives and promote organizational cohesion.
- Provides training and support to HR teams regarding company programs and policies related to benefits and wellness.
- Responds to benefits inquiries on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, claim issues, and other general inquiries.
- Serves as liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve issues.
- Assists with benefits communication to ensure employee understanding of benefit and wellness programs by generating communication tools and maintaining upkeep of educational materials.
- Assists with open enrollment process.
- Partners with team members to ensure changes for the following year are implemented, communicated, and updated in all materials and systems.
- Assists with project management by preparing and maintaining project plans, scheduling cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration, and tracking project progress.
- Gathers data necessary to measure and evaluate program components, analyzes trends and participation, and makes recommendations accordingly.
- Supports compliance with relevant benefit plan regulations and requirements.
- Work on projects of diverse scope to optimize benefits and improve experience.
Compensation
$50,000 to $67,000 annually
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience
- HR or benefits experience preferred
Also want to make sure you have
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel
- Detail-oriented and organized, with attention to accuracy
- Ability to confidentially maintain personal information and understand and respect the nature of sensitive data
