This position is posted at a hierarchy and can be hired at either the Business Analyst, Grade D level or Senior Business Analyst, Grade F. The identified candidate will be hired at a level commensurate with their skills.

The Impact You Will Have

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of MN is hiring a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst in Eagan, MN. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, developing, supporting, reporting, and coordinating business workflow automation to implement efficient processes at an enterprise level for a segment of our Care Management team. You will work on healthcare products, collaborating with operations on staffing, processes, and training. Your tasks will include planning process changes, updating job aids, and adjusting training materials.

You will assist in solving problems identified by the Product Owner, focusing on the details to develop and implement effective solutions that meet the requirements set by the Product Owner.

This role is hybrid, 2 days a week in office, out of Eagan, MN.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze business components related to healthcare products.
  • Collaborate with operations and business stakeholders.
  • Develop and document recommendations for process changes.
  • Update job aids and adjust training materials.
  • Ensure end-to-end implementation of plans and ideas.
  • Roll out and operationalize new processes.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis.
  • Identify trends, emerging issues, and recommend best practices.
  • Document metrics and process changes.
  • Participate in and coordinate individual projects to ensure progress.
  • Maintain communication regarding project status, risks, and priorities.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external partners to identify opportunities and develop implementation plans.

Business Analyst

Required Skills and Experiences

  • 3+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences and executives.
  • Experience identifying KPIs with customers and leveraging to build out dashboards utilizing KPIs and other supporting analytic views.
  • Demonstrated ability to managing deadlines and workload, and multiple complex projects.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Genuinely team and customer focused.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate and interpret complex data solutions based upon technical, business and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrated oral/written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate business and complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate and lead individuals and teams/units in analytical software development solutions.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry
  • Experience in care management or EHR programs.
  • Experience working in a Product-led and/or Agile environment.
  • Experience with writing business/functional requirements
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Experience in building out stories and user requirements.
  • Proficient in stakeholder interviews and building business cases.
  • Background in project management.
  • Extensive experience in the healthcare payer industry.

Senior Business Analyst -

Required Skills and Experiences

  • 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
  • Advanced collaborative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to develop accurate and appropriate communications.
  • Advanced ability to communicate to all levels of management.
  • Advanced research, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Strong ability to make decisions based on analysis and business needs.
  • Advanced ability to bring a different perspective to situations and challenge the status quo.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry
  • Experience in care management or EHR programs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: Regular: $67,200 - $89,100 - $111,000 Annual
Senior: $77,200 - $117,400 - $127,400 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
