This professional performs a broad range of fiscal operations and fiscal management of case service funds to provide services to customers as they strive towards achieving employment goals. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Assistant, you will maintain the Philadelphia District Office fiscal program, ensuring consistent orderly and efficient operations. You will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing office budget allocations including all fund categories, as well as processing all purchase orders for client services. Strong attention to detail is utilized to review and modify letters to participants and providers for services authorized, in addition to entering claims according to fiscal procedures. This professional also views and validates open encumbrances online and uses the online rollover process to move encumbrances to the new fiscal year. You will access real time invoice and authorization totals online, making any necessary cancellations, and review all invoices for completeness and accuracy.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, upon successful completion of the training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Philadelphia.
  • Salary: Most employees will start at the beginning level of the advertised salary.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An associate degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits in accounting; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
