Job Purpose

Mechanical/Project Engineering Summer Intern reporting to the Project Engineering Manager at the EnerSys manufacturing facility in Warrensburg, MO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will have the opportunity to be a part of the mechanical design and project management group for the summer of 2025. Responsibilities include:

1. Learning and helping manage drawing document control
2. Generating drawing updates and revisions at the supervision of other engineers
3. Data collection

  • Taking dimensions of parts and reverse engineering
  • Time studies and machine cycle times
  • Machine monitor for anomalies while running

4. Assisting Process engineering group with above functions as well

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidate shouldbe a graduate student or enrolled in undergraduate program pursuing an engineering related degree.
  • The candidate should have an outstanding academic record, excellent organizational, interpersonal communication and written skills, strong quantitative and computer skills.
General Job Requirements
  • This position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands.
