WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):

The Hurricane Helene and Milton Long-Term Recovery Grants Manager reports to the Hurricane Helene and Milton Senior Grants Manager and is responsible for assisting in the execution of a grants program to support individual and community recovery and resiliency in alignment with local expectations and requirements and the community needs assessment. This role requires an experienced grants manager comfortable with grant proposal evaluation, quality control and compliance and monitoring, and data management and reporting. A successful candidate will be highly organized, a natural problem solver and skilled relationship manager with various stakeholders (both internal and external). This position will work with a team of local and National Headquarters volunteer and paid staff.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):

  • Support the Senior Grants Manager in the development of strategic plans, goals, and funding priorities.

  • Ensure the accurate administration of grants and related documentation in system of record.

  • Assist in development of grant agreements including reviewing for compliance.

  • Support grants team with data management between systems including grant management system, project management systems and Microsoft programming.

  • Work with communications team on development of marketing materials, grant partner engagement and outreach activities.

  • Provide basic grants management system training to grantees.

  • Monitor grant application status and work with prospective grantees to ensureallnecessaryproposal and grantee information is submitted.

  • Conduct grantee site visits, regular (monthly, quarterly, etc.) report reviews, and regular progress check-in meetings.

  • Assist in the creation of stewardship reports and grant impact assessments.

  • Participate in and support RFP process and activities.

  • Ensure all duties and responsibilities are performed in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations

  • Other duties as assigned

Scope: Individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying subject matter knowledge; knowledge based acquired from several years of experience in particular area. Work independently and may instructor coach other professionals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Education: Bachelor's degree required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Strong skills in grants management, including online grant management systems, partnership relations, and disaster response/recovery preferable.
  • Experience in using systems to track and measure outcomes-based social-services programs. Participation in/supporting community assessments strongly desired.
  • Management Experience: 3 years of experience as supervisor or manager ofworkforceengaged in direct client contact in an outcomes-based social-services environment preferrable.
  • Experience building and supporting a volunteer workforce preferrable.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service and ability in creating presentations and developing training modules.
  • Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Teams, Planner, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of project/grant management (e.g., Airtable, Zengine, Fluxx) and data visualization systems (PowerBI and AGOL) preferred
  • Travel: Travel may be required.

* Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).
