This position is assigned to Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.

This position is not eligible for telecommuting.

Essential Functions

  • All aspects of Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation (PHS&T) to include material handling and physical inventory and pick-up and delivery of items to include bulk cargo.
  • Schedule pick-up and delivery around customer requirements and mission support.
  • Prepare items for shipment to include packaging and generating documentation.
  • Stock maintenance functions to include straightening items on shelves, orienting bin labels, stacking items on pallets and shelves, sweeping warehouse and operating commercial floor scrubber.
  • Ensure the deliverables meet client expectations with high professionalism, punctuality and quality.
  • Participate in meetings with clients and/or team to provide solutions in resolving issues.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Attention to detail.
  • Solid written and oral communication and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to understand and decipher reports with minimal instruction.
  • Ability to perform simple mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to work cohesively with team members and supervisors to accomplish team goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work in a professional manner with all levels of customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concerns, listening, questioning, and sharing ideas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three or more years' experience in a logistics or supply position.
  • Experience operating general PHS&T equipment such as: forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, hand tools, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Capable of continuous, non-sedentary tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. (Class E) Driver's License required.
  • Salary determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement.
