Job Highlights
- Adherence to and support ofLANXESS Environmental, Health, and Safety policies
- Support of the Maintenance Work Process.
- Cutting, welding, steel fabrication, and pipe fitting.
- Maintenance of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, gearboxes, air / gas compressors, blowers, glass, and glass lined steel equipment and hydraulic systems, tanks and pressure vessel, mechanical seals and all other process equipment
- Alignment of rotating equipment
- Troubleshooting equipment failures
- Record keeping
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Technical degree preferred
- Two (2) years or more mechanical experience in a chemical petrochemical industry a plus, ability to demonstrate precision repair and rebuild of rotating equipment, laser alignment, pipe fitting and valve repair
- Must have excellent communication skills (written, oral and comprehension)
- Computer skills a plus
- Must be willing to work scheduled / unscheduled overtime, call-outs, and weekend / holiday coverage as required
- Successful candidate must complete Maintenance Training Course, (10 volumes, TPC training material) per established schedule
- Must have a willingness to learn and work in an ever-changing environment
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must have a valid driver's license
