ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN II - OCAO - IHS

JOB SUMMARY: Provide accounting services to the Accounts Receivable section of the Office of Financial Management at Oklahoma City Area office.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Organizes and manages electronic documents utilizing email, electronic network folders, and other software applications. This includes familiarity with converting documents into acceptable formats for electronic filing and storage
• Accepts and reviews incoming Accounts Payable documents (e.g., loan repayment requests, vendor invoices, utility billings, and SF 1034s) for completeness and accuracy in accordance with applicable federal acts, agency and division policies, guidelines, and processes.
• Performs data entry actions (i.e., initial and corrective) to ensure timely and accurate payment issuance to vendors and employees.
• Performs research in the financial system and through the utilization of excel based reports to answer payment status inquiries and error identification and resolution.
• Provides customer-centric communication, verbally and through written format, to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction is met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Background check required.
