Position Summary:

The Test and Evaluation Coordinator I will independently coordinate the logistics of firearm testing in a support role. This is an entry-level position that draws on prior firearms experience, technical, and creative skills to ensure tests are conducted with required materials and supplies. This position will work in a fast paced, dynamic, team environment within the Research & Development department to provide technical and operational support in the completion of assigned projects and goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Work closely with the Test and Evaluation department staff to directly support test completion, escalate supply issues, and schedule range space.
  • Interpret written test plans to place orders for supplies and ammunition.
  • Actively manage test ammunition and test supplies inventory to include setting reorder points, placing requisitions, creating item numbers, monitoring inventory levels, and facilitating delivery to test sites as requested.
  • Perform inventory of firearms periodically to satisfy ATF requirements at the direction of the Legal department.
  • Maintain range certification while always handling and shooting firearms in accordance with SIG SAUER INC policy.
  • Maintain qualifications to act as a Range Safety Officer to include passing First Aid and Trauma Management classes.
  • Create item numbers, change orders, and documents in Agile PLM.
  • Transfer inventory, perform advanced searches, and enter requisitions in Oracle EBS.
  • Must be able to infrequently work a varied schedule to include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on customer demands or to support organizational goals.
  • Engage in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects and tasks.
  • Participate in and sustain 5S Standards.
  • Must follow all required Safety and ISO procedures.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred, 3+ years as a test technician in the firearms industry required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Department of Defense Firearms Qualification in M17, M4, M249, and M240 preferred.
  • Pistol, rifle, and shotgun training certifications from a recognized firearms academy preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and able to create and edit documents with little to no support.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Project is preferred.
  • Experience using and maintaining firearms is required.
  • Must be able to clearly, concisely, and accurately convey ideas and information to others, in English, both verbally and in written form.


Working Conditions:



  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
