Summary

The Project Manager, Asset Management will oversee the procurement, maintenance, relocation, setup, and inventory control of office furniture. This role is critical in ensuring our workplace remains functional, efficient, and well-equipped to meet business needs. In addition, the role involves strategic decision making, budget management. The ideal candidate will have experience in asset management, procurement, and logistics coordination, with a strong ability to track and maintain office furniture inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities

Asset Procurement & Management:

* Manage the ordering and procurement process for office furniture, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

* Develop and maintain vendor relationships to secure the best pricing and service.

* Oversee the setup, placement, and organization of office furniture across locations.

* Ensure timely maintenance and repairs of office furniture to extend usability and functionality.

Inventory Control & Tracking:

* Develop, implement and maintain an inventory management system to track office furniture assets.

* Conduct regular audits and updates to ensure accurate asset records.

* Manage the acquisition, distribution, maintenance and disposal of furniture disposal in compliance with company policies.

Relocation & Space Planning:

* Coordinate office moves, furniture relocations, and workstation setups.

* Work with facilities and operations teams to optimize office layouts.

* Ensure proper disassembly, transportation, and reassembly of furniture during moves.

Budgeting & Compliance:

* Develop and monitor asset-related budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to company policies.

* Prepare financial forecasts related to asset procurement and maintenance.

* Ensure compliance with workplace safety and ergonomic standards related to furniture setup.

Physical Demands:

* Perform tasks involving the lifting, moving, and rearranging of furniture, equipment, and supplies.

* Ensure safe handling practices and coordinate with staff or external movers as needed.

* Conduct physical inspections of assets to assess condition and functionality.

Educational background / Work experience

* Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred).

* High school diploma and/or GED

* Proven experience in asset management, procurement, logistics, or facilities coordination.

Skills & Competencies

* Strong organizational and project management skills.

* Detail-oriented

* Excellent organizational, communication and negotiation skills.

Computer Literacy

* Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Demands

This role is predominantly sedentary, requiring limited physical coordination or exertion.

Physical Demands:

* May require physical effort to use a computer for accessing information.

* Occasional standing, walking, and lifting may be needed for everyday activities.

* Ability to lift and move furniture (up to 150 lbs), when necessary.

* Frequent use of hands for tasks such as finger movement, handling, or feeling objects, tools, or controls.

* Reaching with hands and arms, and occasional stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

* Regular verbal communication and active listening, utilizing various communication tools, including telephone and digital platforms, to coordinate and manage asset-related tasks.

Working Conditions:

* Work hours may be extensive and can occasionally be staggered for multi-shift access.

* Regular use of computer and telephone equipment.

* Specific vision requirements include close vision and distance vision.

* Minimal travel may be required, both domestically and internationally.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500- $105,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
