Position Overview
Zelis is seeking a dynamic and driven Director, Implementations and Migrations. This role will lead the Development and EDI teams responsible for migrating existing clients from our legacy internal systems to our latest payment generation platform (Zelis Advanced Payments Platform - ZAPP), as well as implementing new clients on the ZAPP platform. The Director will facilitate team collaboration, emphasizing process development and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. This role will partner with our Client Experience implementation team to ensure the services provided by the IT team enable fulfillment of the strategic vision for the roadmap for implementations and migrations. This position will play a critical role in optimizing our Implementation and Migration processes to enhance efficiency, data accuracy, and collaboration across our organization and with external clients.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and direct data teams comprised of C# Engineers and EDI Analysts, providing technical guidance and direction to ensure successful completion of projects and deliverables.

  • Work collaboratively with other departments to identify and prioritize development initiatives and provide technical input to drive decision-making.

  • Establish and evolve a strategic vision with a strong sense of ownership for the Data Services group (Transformation & EDI), how the teams integrate, and how they deliver solutions.

  • Emphasize and drive process improvement, tool development, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster a collaborative and customer-focused culture that delivers quality work, on time.

  • Support the Data Teams by providing coaching, mentorship, process optimization, and new training opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices related to data privacy, security, and integrity.

  • Address internal and external client escalations. Communicate clearly and effectively with the clients to ensure their needs are understood and met.

  • Establish metrics and KPIs from Jira/etc., in pursuit of establishing baselines for ticketed flow and team/member performance.

  • Present regular progress reports and setting goals to provide a clear picture of the department's performance and overall posture.

What You'll Bring to Zelis

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field

  • 8+ years of experience in data services or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated track record of success in managing key process improvements.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on identifying root causes and developing effective solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing managers and technical professionals, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex information systems environment.

  • Experience with Healthcare claims and payments data, i.e. EOBs/EOPs and 835's

  • Familiarity with: ETL Processes, Healthcare Claims and Payment data, HIPAA EDI 835 transactions, Microsoft C#, Microsoft SQL server and SQL language (T-SQL, SSIS), Jira, and Confluence

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India.
