Summary

This is a temporary on-site role for an Event Operations Assistant located in Downtown Garland, TX. The Event Operations Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day event operations during setup, break down, and execution of events as scheduled, ensuring effective communication with onsite personnel and team members, and managing operational tasks as directed effectively and efficiently.

Pay Range: $20.00

Work Schedule: Work scheduled accordingly to upcoming events. This included extended hours for set-up, operation and take-down of props and equipment. Event days may require up to 16-hour shifts.

Job Requirements

  • Onsite for unusually long periods of time which will include irregular hours such as nights and weekends

  • Available for a high number of events, ranging from small meetings to large-scale festivals

  • Physically capable of lifting, carrying, and placing tents, tables, chairs, and other event elements as needed

  • Mindful while handling graphics, scenic properties, and other delicate assets with appropriate care

  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Adherent to safety standards to ensure a safe work environment

  • Willing to work outside in undesirable conditions such as rain and the unforgiving Texas summer heat

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Passion for contributing to high quality events

  • Excellent Communication skills

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Experienced in event planning and/or operations preferred

  • Personable and presentable

  • NOTE: This is a manual labor position
