THE JOB: The Director of Workforce Management is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of workforce planning and scheduling across the property. This role ensures operational efficiency and optimal staffing levels while maintaining exceptional guest service. The Director will drive strategic workforce initiatives, collaborate with department leaders, and make data-driven decisions to enhance labor productivity and guest experience
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Establish and implement productivity and guest service standards to ensure efficient staffing while maintaining exceptional guest service. Lead and develop the Workforce Management department, fostering a culture of efficiency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Serve as the primary property contact for all scheduling-related matters, including vacation approvals, forecasting, and analytical reporting. Monitor and enforce adherence to property schedules, addressing exceptions with department leadership to ensure compliance and efficiency. Build and maintain strong communication channels between Workforce Management and operational departments to align staffing needs with business demands. Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement of the Virtual Roster Scheduling System and other workforce management technologies. Ensure all scheduling practices comply with collective bargaining agreements, state and federal labor laws, and company policies. Provide senior management with detailed labor reports, insights, and recommendations to drive strategic workforce decisions. Define workforce management standards and set departmental goals to improve efficiency, accuracy, and guest experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least four years of relevant experience in workforce management. They possess a strong working knowledge of Virtual Roster Scheduling and demonstrate the ability to make data-driven decisions to optimize labor standards and staffing efficiency. A proven leader, they excel in managing teams, fostering collaboration, and maintaining effective communication with property leadership to drive operational excellence.
