THE POSITION

The Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center is seeking an ambitious Information Technology Generalist 2 to join our team. The Health and Human Services (HHS) IT Delivery Center provides end-to-end IT services to all staff in the Department of Human Services (DHS), the Department of Health (DOH), the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP), and the Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA). DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is a key member of the contract management team and coordinates the assistance provided to project staff and IT Management by ensuring all activities performed or initiated on HHSDC IT Project Contracts are tracked, monitored, managed, and closed properly.

The HHSDC provides services to the citizens of Pennsylvania through many different programs that rely on these IT contracts. The team works together to tackle the high volume and communicates with Business Relationship Managers, Project Managers and other stakeholders on the the project deliverables throughout the entire life cycle. In addition to the contract artifacts, the team also monitors and tracks contractor user management for several hundred IT contractors throughout their tenure and in accordance with the contract Appointment and Termination process.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours will range from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (candidate may decide schedule) Lunch period will be based on selected work schedule (30 minute/1 hour lunch) Monday - Friday.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. A minimum of one day per month in office is required. You will be expected to work from home (telework) for the reminder of your work schedule but may be required to come into the office more frequently. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Parking is located at the building and is free.
  • Salary: Selected candidates, who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary (before taxes) of $66,250.00.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or
  • Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
  • A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
