Posting Summary
The Department of Economics, Rutgers University, New Brunswick will be hiring a full-time teaching instructor for a position to begin September 2025. Teaching responsibilities for the position includes teaching large sections (250+ students) of introductory microeconomics and macroeconomics, elective courses such as international economics and money and banking. In addition to teaching, a successful candidate may be asked to serve as a coordinator of part-time lecturers and teaching assistants for introductory-level courses, or to perform other service functions. Ph.D. in Economics is preferred, but other graduate study or relevant industry experience is valued as well. Applicants must have experience in teaching economics at the University level. Previous experience teaching large sections is preferred. Position is renewable contingent upon satisfactory formal evaluation, availability of funding and a continued need for the position.
