Shifts Available and Hours:Night shift (7.00PM - 3.00AM)
Shift Premium: Nightshift - $1.50/hour extra
Job Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the material distribution/relocation utilizing mobile equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes) to meet KPI goals (production, safety, quality)
  • Operates equipment in compliance with safety guidelines
  • Responsible for the inspection of the forklift to ensure it is in safe operating condition
  • Visually inspect loads for quality of product, correct packaging, and correct identification tags
  • Maintain clean work environment
  • Assist in production operations as needed
  • Check schedule (from master schedule book) for due dates, proper papers, and material ready to move to next machine or process
  • Ensure racks, skids and baskets are ready for operators
  • Visually inspect loads for quality of product, correct packaging and correct identification tags
  • Check other areas for material ready for other departments
  • Ensure operators have signed Router & Tally sheets
  • Enter orders on production status reports
  • Transport material to proper area with proper paperwork
  • Empty scrap and chip hoppers as needed
  • Observe all safety rules and maintain a clean work area
  • Be responsible for minor maintenance on forklift, brakes, horn, fluid levels, and general condition.
  • Ensure completion of 'Lift truck operator's daily/weekly inspection report
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Ability to work with limited instructions
  • Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment
  • Must have ability to communicate (both written & verbal)
  • Work well with all employees at all levels, willingness to learn new processes and work with limited supervision
  • Must have a positive attitude and friendly personality
