About Ameren Illinois Ameren Illinois provides electric transmission and distribution service and natural gas distribution service. Every day, we deliver electricity to 1.2 million electric and 816,000 natural gas customers in central and southern Illinois. We deliver safe, reliable energy to more than 1,200 communities. About The Position The Gas Standards & Procedures team is responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of the Operating and Maintenance (O&M) Plan, materials engineering, materials quality, and new product evaluation. This engineer will have opportunities to support internal discussion regarding operational or design issues associated with the O&M language, stock coded items, and tools/equipment. This engineer will also have opportunities to communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and other contract resources. The Gas Standards & Procedures engineer may also have challenging opportunities to evaluate new products, tools, or equipment that impact various areas of operation. Key responsibilities include:
Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Relevant gas engineering, gas operations, metallurgy, or quality experience preferred. Professional Engineering License preferred or the ability to obtain one. In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate: A thorough understanding of the gas operations procedures and standard designs contained in the Ameren Operating and Maintenance Plan preferred. Working knowledge of CFR 49 Part 191, 192, and 199; NFPA 54 National Fuel Gas Code, industry related standards (ASME, ASTM, API 1104) and Illinois Administrative Code preferred. Good communication, organizational, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills required. Should be familiar with related technology (i.e. Microsoft Office, EMPRV, Product Data Hub, Maximo, Click Mobile, AMV, SharePoint). Must have proficient writing skills. Additional Information Ameren's selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process. Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates Compensation Range: $69,300.00 - $168,000.00* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant's credentials. At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
