$21.00/hr. schedule Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm + great opportunity for OT pay. At 50 hours per week, earn weekly paychecks of $1,155 gross.
Position Title: Warehouse/Plant Operator Est Hours Per Week: 40 hours Assignment Address: 500 Bethel St, Paducah, KY 42003 Job Description: Highest Level of Education Required for this Position: no education required Is this a Safety Sensitive Position (if you do not know, please ask your upper management) Yes PPE Requirements if any Metatarsal boots, safety glasses Working Conditions (IE Office, Warehouse, Ect) Warehouse/Plant environment If heights, how high? N/A If driving, what will they be driving? Fork lift If lifting how many pounds? 50lbs JOB SUMMARY: Loads cylinders on vehicles, using hand truck, chain hoist or forklift, and records type and quantity of cylinders. Examines returned cylinders for surface defects, such as dents, cracks, and burns, and rolls cylinders to designated work area. Cleans cylinders using wire brush and cleaning solution. Removes and replaces valves using wrenches. Connects exhaust manifold to cylinders and turns valve to draw off residual gas. Tests filled cylinders for leaks by brushing or spraying chemical solution around valve. Weighs filled cylinders on platform scale and records weight. Screws protection cap over values. Removes / replaces warning and identification tags on cylinders. May fill cylinders with compressed gas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Operate forklift and safely load / unload compressed gas and liquid cylinders to and from delivery vehicles. * Identify, sort and palletize cylinders for efficient refilling and handling. * Inspect cylinders prior to filling, using standard operating procedures. * Complete activity / deficiency reports as required. * Replace safety valves on cylinders * Remove and replace labels ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Replace pallet straps as necessary. * Sweep and clean work areas. * Perform painting as needed. PREVIOUS EXPERICE DESIRED: * Some basic knowledge or experience in welding. * Some experience in handling compressed gases. * Customer service experience LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, and to calculate percent. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
