Responsible for managing medium to large-scale projects within an assigned functional area or across multiple entities. Takes ownership of the project lifecycle overall by guiding teams and staff, facilitating communication between stakeholders, and monitoring progress toward project goals. Ensures that the project is completed successfully and provides support to team members and stakeholders as they complete essential tasks.

On a daily basis, executes the procedural and policy decisions made for the study.

Owns project plans for medium to large-scale projects.

Scheduling, and management of appropriate rescheduling in unexpected/emergency situations.

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of research design process and study protocol from initiation through completion.

Responsible for the oversight of study supplies, equipment, and files.

Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.

a) Serves as the primary contact for outside vendors utilized to ensure efficient operation of the study.

Directly responds to inquiries regarding study protocol and policy. Serves as liaison to internal and external population.

Design and refinement of systems and coordination of data analysis and management of study database(s),

Coordination of drug orders from pharmacy, study MD sign-offs, and drug delivery to patients.

Communicates regularly on project status with project stakeholders and regulatory agencies including:

a. IRB submission and continuing reviews

b. Clinical trials registration and updates

c. FDA IND exemptions and updates

d. DSMB meeting reports, minutes, agenda.

Provides guidance to more junior staff members (CIT-I and CIT-II).

Identifies potential risks early, analyzes the possible impact, and develops mitigation strategies.

Complies with all policies and standards

All other duties as assigned, as needed to ensure the success of the research studies in our lab.

Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.

Proficiency in project management software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
