We are looking for a motivated Automation Engineer Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in software-driven automation for laser manufacturing. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to work with C#-based automation software, robotics, motion control systems, and high-precision semiconductor laser assembly and testing.

As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop, troubleshoot, and enhance automated test and assembly systems, contributing directly to the efficiency and advancement of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in developing and testing C#-based automation software for laser test and assembly stations.
  • Work with motors, sensors, vision systems, and industrial automation equipment.
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting and optimizing automated manufacturing processes.
  • Perform data analysis and process validation to improve production efficiency.
  • Document findings, generate reports, and contribute to software and hardware improvements.


Required Qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Third-year student or higher (Junior/Senior standing preferred).
  • Basic proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition, motion control, and industrial automation concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with Visual Studio IDE, SQL, or scientific instrumentation.
  • Exposure to robotics, PLCs, or embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, process validation, and quality control tools.
