POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities include: Inspect empty railcars prior to loading, Inspect empty trucks prior to loading, Clean empty railcars prior to loading, Load railcars and trucks, Position railcars and trucks, Conduct pre-shift inspection of work area, Clean excess material off railcar after loading.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

1. Reporting

• Record railcar weight and turn in to shipping clerk
• Complete and submit railcar load out sheet to quality assurance lab
• Collect samples and submit to quality assurance lab
• Record seal numbers and submit to quality assurance lab

2. Maintenance

• General maintenance as directed
• Service truck and railcar loading systems
• Lubricate truck and railcar loading systems

3. Safety

• Attend safety meetings
• Enforce all company, local, state and federal safety policies and procedures
• Maintain Company and Federal House Keeping Standards

4. Quality System

• Implement all elements of the quality manual
• Maintain the validity of all documentation affecting the positions listed above
• Maintain the validity of all procedures affecting the positions listed above

5. Training

• Provide on-the-job training, as assigned
• Verify on-the-job training, as assigned

6. Back-up

• To back up other Rail & Truck Loaders
• To be backed-up by other Rail & Truck Loaders

7. Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands include, but are not limited to:

• Must be physically able to perform work assigned
• Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations
• Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels
• Will be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a mineral environment
• The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles
• The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting
• Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed

Required Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent

Required Experience: Previous heavy equipment experience

For this position, being authorized to work in the U.S. is a precondition of employment.
