The Morris Home supports transgender and nonbinary individuals with a gender-affirming and supportive environment as they develop the knowledge, skills, and supports necessary to promote sobriety, manage emotional and behavioral difficulties, choose and maintain safe and healthy lifestyles, and develop healthy relationships with peers, family and the community. Morris Home, the only residential recovery program in the country to offer comprehensive services specifically for the transgender and gender-expansive community, provides a safe, recovery-oriented environment in which people exist as their authentic selves and are treated with respect and dignity.

Full $1,500 sign on bonus paid out after 90 day completion

Position Summary

Provide clinical support and leadership to staff and participants. Assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of programmatic systems. Works with Program Director to develop new strategies to ensure needs and best practices are incorporated into the program design. A commitment to the RHD values should be demonstrated as job duties are performed.

Essential Duties and Functions

Staff Supervision and Oversight

  • Provide supervision and evaluation of staff including Electronic Health Record (EHR) oversight and approval of notes as rendering provider for billing.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement and maintain program policy and procedures and continuous quality improvement measures.

Operational/Administrative Management

  • Monitor and maintain program budget.
  • Coordinates, facilitates, and documents treatment and services for program participants, groups and individuals.

Direct Clinical Support

  • May maintain caseload of clients as required by the Program Director to include:
  • organizing the input from therapists, case managers, funder assigned advocate, program specialists, behavior specialists, direct support staff, program management, medical assessments, psychological assessments and any other input into a treatment plan with measurable goals, objectives and outcomes.
  • support to program management in assessing crisis intervention when needed from a trauma informed perspective.
  • screening and assessments using validated screening tools to assess for depression, trauma, substance use, and risk/needs associated with criminal risk.
  • Document and submit all clinical interactions in a timely manner.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Master's Degree required in psychology, social work, or related field.
  • Five years' experience working with individuals with Mental Health issues, Developmental Disabilities, Drug and/or Alcohol Addiction, or Homeless populations
  • Three years of which needs to be managing a diverse team of clinicians and medical staff.
  • Experience with gender affirming/transgender individuals is preferred.

Working conditions

This position is set in an office environment. While performing the duties of the job, employees are frequently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach.
