JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will perform a wide variety of finance duties. This position requires proficiency in transactional accounting resulting in meaningful account reconciliations and analysis. Strong problem-solving skills, work ethic, and excellent organizational skills are required as the position will support various aspects of the financial cycle including the management of daily operating activity to month-end reconciliations and analytics. The candidate must possess impeccable attention to detail, decision-making skills, and the ability to collaborate and work well within our internal finance group and other departments. This role will be based in our Marlborough, MA office reporting to the General Accounting Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS



  • Administrator of all new vendor setup complete with vendor authentication
  • Administrator of corporate credit card accounts
  • Complete weekly/monthly cash forecasting for both AP and AR
  • Administrator of weekly wire processing complete with reconciliation of prepaids as applies
  • Accounting for capitalized software development costs, including monitoring compliance with company policy for applicable costs, documentation in accordance with financial policies and audit standards, recording of monthly costs, reconciliation of accounts, and continuous process improvement
  • Bank Reconciliation, Fixed Asset Accounting, and other miscellaneous GL account management and monthly reconciliations
  • Assist in overall department goals and objectives with a high focus on continuous business process, internal control, financial analysis around capital spending
  • Collaborate with Tax Manager to complete wire tax payments


  • Prepare and review of Journal entries as needed
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
  • Ad hoc requests or projects


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 5 years related experience.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:



  • 5+ years of related Accounting experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of MS Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP systems Navision and Business Central
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage sensitive and confidential matters

  • Excellent communication, both written and verbal
  • Ability to independently prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio) skills

  • Must thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to effectively interpret and apply generally accepted accounting policies and procedures


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job. Must be capable of lifting 30 pounds. Must use assistance when lifting 50 or more pounds.

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job related skills, as well as relevant education or training experience.
Salary Pay Range Minimum $85,906 - Midpoint $107,383
