GENERAL SUMMARY

Working in a centralized environment overseas and performs day-to-day activities to ensure production deadlines are met for all domestic and international wire transfer service activities. Responsible for the supervision of department staff to ensure accurate and timely processing.

DIRECT REPORTS

The incumbent supervises the Wire Transfer Department staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Monitor workflow and delegate work to staff as necessary to ensure staff resources are used with maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure all wires are processed promptly, accurately, and accordingly to bank policy/procedures.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and development of staff
  • Help with scheduling and timesheet approval.
  • Ensure staff are cross trained in wire functions
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
  • Monitor wire transfer queues, identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Resolve unusual or non-routine issues or problems. Resolves complex customer service issues and recommends solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • In conjunction with the Wire Transfer Manager, vendors and internal departments, coordinate system enhancements, upgrades and new functionality ensuring compliance as well as error-free integration.
  • Maintain logs, volume activity charts, records, and provide management with daily, weekly and monthly statistical data as required.
  • Decode, log, research, input, verify and/or approve outgoing wires on various systems with the highest degree of accuracy.
  • Ensure proper follow-up and accurate record maintenance for tracing, investigation and correction of incoming and outgoing wires.
  • Perform and maintain application and database updates to insure current information is utilized for wire processing controls (I.e. OFAC; RMA; IBS records; Money exchange; etc.).
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of daily production logs.
  • Resolve any escalated discrepancies, issues, or customer complaints in a timely manner.
  • Review/perform End-of-Day balancing.
  • Provide support assistance for the international department and FX Ops on the S.W.I.F.T. message processing as necessary.
  • Follow bank policies, procedures, and guidelines.



QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education: High school graduate. Some college preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Experience: Previous banking experience in wire transfer processing environment with two to three years as a lead employee or supervisor. Detail oriented with high emphasis on accuracy.
  • Skills/Ability:

    • Thorough working knowledge of all departmental wire transfer platforms.
    • Thorough working knowledge of the Fedline direct Interface with Payplus computers and peripheral equipment to include Payplus Email.
    • Thorough working knowledge of the BeB, FIS host session interface on Payplus. Operate S.W.I.F.T. and Finastra Payplus system.
    • PC proficient, typing a minimum of 50 wpm. Knowledge of ten-key by touch and general office equipment.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Bank employees, Correspondent Bank employees and vendors
    • Knowledge of wire processing systems and controls. Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.





OTHER DETAILS

$65K - $75K / year
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
