Who we are looking for:

Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to oversee all aspects of our contractual needs ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and strategic growth.

This position is hybrid, with a primary location in Alexandria, VA.

We anticipate the hire to be onsite approximately at/or around 1-2 days per week, and as needed for special circumstances.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the daily flow of vendor contracts and donor/supporter agreements, including delegation and prioritization.

  • Ensure timely creation and processing of new contracts using internal templates.

  • Oversee efficient contract record creation process in Corcentric, ASCO's contracts database.

  • Lead contract-related communication and negotiation with CEIL, business teams, and external contacts.

  • Direct, manage, and mentor Coordinator, Contracts and Compliance

  • Partner with Coordinator, Contracts and Compliance to maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress.

  • Oversee contract deliverables process; and quickly address and resolve contract-related matters.

  • Monitor and develop responses to organizational compliance needs related to contracts.

  • Support the Associate Director, Business Operations & Compliance with team strategy and goals, including the development and implementation of SOPs, policies, and procedures.

  • Other operations & compliance team duties, which may include being onsite to complete.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 6 years of professional experience in reviewing, editing, and administering contracts

  • Experience with contracts management systems/software

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Experiences with databases (preferably Dynamics CRM)

  • Knowledge of any legal requirements associated with contracts

  • Knowledge or experience in non-profit and donor/supporter agreements

  • Grants management and reporting experience a plus

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact and work with team members in varying levels within the organization.

  • Project management skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to find inconsistencies and errors

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills including written, reading, and reviewing skills

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally with a wide variety of audiences

  • Ability to execute and negotiate contracts

  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

  • Positive and proactive with proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously

Work Environment

Office setting - 1 - 2 days/week

Conquer Cancer Staff Meeting (as requested)

Conquer Cancer Board Meeting (as requested)

ADA/Physical Requirements

Fast-paced office environment with extended periods seated or standing at a desk.

High use of computer and other office technology equipment.

Travel

No travel requirements

HQ Work at ASCO HQ

Staff are expected to perform work in-person at ASCO HQ as responsibilities dictate and/or upon their manager's request.
