THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will act as a professional staff member within the Bureau of Managed Care Operations (BMCO), reporting directly to the Clinical Operations Supervisor in the Clinical Operations Section of the Division of Quality and Special Needs Coordination (DQSNC). The role is based in the central office and may necessitate travel across Pennsylvania for meetings and on-site monitoring activities. You will represent the DQSNC and hold clinical accountability for the continuous monitoring and assessment of the daily operations related to Quality Management, Utilization Management, and Quality Improvement (QM/UM/QI) for the designated HealthChoices Managed Care Organization (MCO). Furthermore, you will contribute clinical expertise as part of a multidisciplinary contract management monitoring team, as appointed by the Division Director of DQSNC and the Bureau Director of BMCO. Additionally, this role involves providing advisory and consultative support to other bureaus within the Department of Human Services (DHS) and various state agencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with a minimum of 1 day per month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience in the field of medical assistance, health care services, or human services; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • This position requires employees possessing an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • This position requires possession of an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License or equivalent.
