Charlotte, NC 12 Month Contract Hybrid: 3 Days in 2 Days remote *Description* This role is for a Data Architect that has pervious experience with Hadoop. Hadoop does not have to be their bread and butter and what they do currently- this is because the manager wants people that are currently doing work beyond where they are at in Hadoop. This hiring manger said their team does a lot of integrations so that is why the manger wants experience with various technologies like ozone, Kubernetes, Iceberg and Trino because he wants to hear how they have integrated those in the past. *Skills* * Hadoop * Python * Big data * Spark * Data warehouse *Top Skills Details (Must Have)* * Hadoop * Python * Big data *Additional Skills & Qualifications* *Key Responsibilities:* * Expand the organization's big data capabilities beyond Hadoop * Work with technologies like Trino, Snowflake, and Databricks * Participate in various upgrades and initiatives, such as hardware refreshes, Kubernetes implementation, and Spark version upgrades * Contribute to the integration of different data platforms and technologies * Provide a broader vision and expertise beyond the bank's current siloed environment *Required Skills and Experience:* * Extensive experience in big data technologies, including Trino, Starburst, Ozone, Iceberg, Python, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker * Familiarity with data integration and data engineering practices * Exposure to a wide range of data technologies, beyond just Hadoop * Consulting experience that has provided exposure to diverse data ecosystems * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams Preferred Skills: Experience with database technologies like Teradata *Experience Level* Expert Level *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.24 - $70.24/hr.
