Job Summary :

The Director of Treasury is responsible for optimizing cash flow, managing liquidity, overseeing debt obligations, interfacing with banks and sponsors, and mitigating financial risks for the company. The Director of Treasury will develop and implement strategies to maintain strong financial management, supporting the company's growth objectives in a fast-paced and highly dynamic industry. The role requires a detail-oriented problem solver with strong technical skills who works well in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement investment strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds.
  • Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of municipal contracts, including monitoring all payments and obligations.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Manage the company's debt portfolio, including issuance and repayment of debt.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations on financial performance and strategies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Negotiate banking services and fees to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising.
  • Supervise and prepare daily cash settlements, short-term cash forecasting, and investments of surplus cash in line with company policies
  • Maintain effective communication with Corporate Finance and Planning to ensure efficient cash and liquidity management
  • Prepare and conduct cash flow analysis and reporting, and coordinate intercompany cash flow activities and forecasting
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective liaison with contractors, vendors, project managers, consultants, engineers and Federal, State, City and private utility company personnel
  • Monitor bank transactions, wire transfers, and fund transfers
  • Analyze and prepare monthly financial statements
  • Assist with annual budget and cash flow budget cycle
  • Ensure adherence to all internal policies and accounting controls related to cash and bank account management
  • Evaluate procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 10 years' of experience in treasury, finance, or related roles.
  • 5 years' of progressive municipal customer contract experience and accomplishments
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of cash management, investment strategies, and financial risk management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
