Job Title: Biological/Chemical Scientist/Engineer

Location(s): Walpole, MA

Job Description:

The Biochemist 2, Manufacturing Services position will be responsible for SAP inventory management / CERDAAC equipment activities / Documentation maintenance activities including but not limited to the following:


  • SAP Access Management (SAP Tier 2).
  • SAP Business Community Member.
  • Advanced SAP Production Execution / Inventory Discrepancy Investigation.
  • Cycle Count Management.
  • CERDAAC Equipment Enrollment / Commissioning.
  • CERDAAC role ownership and audit of log sheets.
  • Change Control.
  • Documentation Management / Revision.
  • QN Initiator / Owner.
  • Cross Functional Project Support.
  • DEA Controlled Substance Annual Inventory management and dispense support.
  • Raw material offline request management.


This position is essential in supporting the on-time completion of quality test reagents prepared in all Walpole manufacturing work centers.

This position reports into the Senior Manager of Manufacturing Services, Laboratory Diagnostics Manufacturing at the Walpole Site.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • Associate's degree.
  • Technical proficiency in Equipment Cal/PM & Material Management.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Equipment Calibration/Material Handling working experience.
  • Manufacturing knowledge and experience.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry, 2+ years.


Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with Change Control Process.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry, 2+ years.
