This role will be on site at Sequoia near Cisco, TX. The successful candidate will reside within 75 miles of our site due to on call requirements. Relocation assistance will be provided for the right candidate.

The Solar Plant Supervisor works hands on alongside their team and is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the solar generation facilities. This position is working hands on, manages the operational and administrative needs and functions of the solar facilities. As the top-level leader on site, you will ensure Enbridge values and expectations are properly applied on site and managed effectively.

The supervisor will lead the application of Enbridge's Safety Management System and ensure the safety of all staff, contractors, and equipment on site. They will promote a safety-first approach and foster a positive safety environment ensuring timely and accurate reporting of safety metrics and incidents.

What You Will Do:
  • Handle contractor engagement and contracts, ensuring all appropriate information is processed (legal review, CAS, ISN) enforced, delivered, and filed accordingly. Support the investigation process.

  • Work closely with the community first responders and build relationships.

  • Responsible for providing general supervision & development of all employees at the site.

  • Lead and coordinate the facility's budget. Including both revenue and operational expenses. Find opportunities for cost control, optimization, and cost reduction.

  • Prepare the site's annual budget, long range forecast, and ongoing financial reporting obligations.

  • Lead the procurement of work, administration of Work Orders and Purchase Orders, and the financial accruals process.

  • Coordinate the spending as per the Approved Spending Limit (ASL). Flexible work hours may be required to support the facility

  • OEM Engagement: follow-up on extended outages awaiting warranty response, Follow-up on serial failures, engineering diagnosis and support of OEM Root Cause Investigation of failures.

Who You Are:
  • Related university degree or equivalent experience and seven-plus years' experience OR nine-plus years of previous field operations experience. A combination of education and experience would be considered.

  • Technical Certification/Training or Experience in the electrical and Solar O&M fields.

  • Outstanding communication skills needed to get along with utility, commercial and residential customers.

  • Familiarity with NERC, ERCOT responsibilities. Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple crews.

  • Strong understanding of all aspects of solar PV design, installation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of NEC code, as well as NFPA 70E.

  • Able to read and understand electrical prints and racking plans. Ability to identify accurate electrical workmanship practices. Experience working with AC & DC electricity and grid intertie PV systems.

  • Availability to travel to other facilities as needed.

Working Conditions:

Role requires a valid Driver's License, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire and ability to obtain a Passport.

Role will require being on-call (24/7) to respond to emergencies and/or maintenance needs of the site (on a pre-determined, scheduled basis).

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

Must meet requirements of fit for work which includes, but is not limited to, demonstrating hand, arm, back and leg coordination needed to ascend and descend a wind tower and complying with a weight restriction of 132 kg (or 290lb) total climbing weight. Comfort working in enclosed spaces and at heights of 300 ft. Employee understands that these requirements may be modified at the Company's discretion.
